This position is critical in building and maintaining strong business relationships with our clients. You will be involved in every step of the product development process from ideation to getting the products on retail shelves. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Nutrition & Labeling Projects

• Assist with developing and maintaining food labeling information for finished products (e.g. allergens, nutrition, ingredient statements, product name, price, barcode, etc.)

• Update nutritional database and corresponding ingredient specification information using Genesis software

• Assist with submitting required documentation to clients and ensuring project deadlines are met in a timely manner

• Anticipates regulatory/ labeling issues and works with suppliers, clients, and supervisors to clarify and resolve these issues

• Supports implementation of department processes, standards and projects in a timely manner

Research & Development Projects

• Research current Asian food trends across the world; document, organize and share new ideations to the team

• Work closely with culinary team in the product development process

• Create effective and neat visual training content (SOP) that can be scaled across hundreds of store locations

• Understand clients’ needs and prepare effective PowerPoint presentation for meetings

• Communicate with suppliers directly to source new ingredients or refine current ingredient formulation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related field

• 2-3 years of industry experience in the grocery retail business or food service

• Basic understanding of product commercialization process from product design to manufacturing

• Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Google Drive, and Gmail

• Excellent communicator verbally and in writing

• Working knowledge of ESHA Genesis or other nutritional development software is a plus
