Job Description:

Translarity seeks a Senior R&D VPC (vertical probe card) Engineer for our Hutto, Texas facility with a background in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science to design test fixtures and develop methods for evaluating and improving vertical MEMS probe card technologies. This person will work closely with our in-house manufacturing and assembly groups to create and evaluate new vertical MEMS products. Applicant will be given opportunities to expand into and develop other company processes as well.

· Understand basic GD&T

· Strong user of SolidWorks and 2D CAD

· Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently, as well as with small teams

· Ability to learn metrology tools

· Ability to design fixturing and manufacturing aids

· Develop processes and enable improvements on standard and new product releases

The successful candidate will report to the Worldwide Director of Mechanical Engineering.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Masters or PhD preferred

· Experience in a fast-paced development environment

· Experience understanding customer needs and delivering solutions on short timelines

· Experience with probe cards

· At least two years of SolidWorks experience
