ABOUT THIS ROLE: This position is designed to transition into the Director of Systems Development role. The individual will oversee the completion of our full system rebuild via Angular and help to build and lead a team that will accelerate ProPack’s technology to the next phase.

JOB TITLE: Senior Software Developer

DESCRIPTION: Write, document, and support custom applications for in-house use at ProPack

REPORTS TO: Vice President, Technology

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

STATUS: Exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: A Senior Software Developer collaborates with the Director of Systems Development to design, develop, document and support custom software to facilitate internal operations and client integration with ProPack’s systems.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, write, test and deploy custom software code for ProPack systems
• Troubleshoot and support existing software applications
• Write and update documentation for custom software and system design
• Advise on and help continuously improve the system development process
• Oversee application testing
• Create and maintain technical and end-user documentation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Passion for operational efficiency, identifying challenges and developing solutions, and working with people
• 6+ years experience and proficiency in Angular 2+, SQL, C#, JavaScript, HTML, And CSS
• Experienced with relational database concepts and design
• Familiarity with REST and/or SOAP based Web API development and usage
• Demonstrated proficiency in UI development using web technologies
• Project management experience
• Time management and flow management
• Creativity and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Typing over 50 words per minute

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in logistics and supply chain management
• Knowledgeable in Lean methodologies
