Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead, will be responsible for designing, developing and testing sophisticated software used by customers in the mechanical engineering domain (automotive and aerospace); deploying simulations of Simulink models to cloud-based platforms; developing the core features of Simulink; supporting customers in the mechanical engineering / control systems industry (automotive and aerospace) with technical issues in MathWorks' products related to design optimization, robotics and controls; and participating in all stages of software development including requirements specifications, architecture, design, implementation, and testing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years of experience in job offered or two (2) years of experience in MATLAB development.

OR

Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no experience.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise in development, testing or technical support of Simulink models.
• Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented design and analysis, including writing algorithms, applying design patterns, and programming in C++, JavaScript, and MATLAB.
• Demonstrated expertise using MATLAB unit testing framework and xUnit frameworks - JUnit, NUnit, or QUnit - to perform test driven development.
• Demonstrated expertise in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional design, architecture design, implementation, and testing.
