Position
Thatcher Technology Group (TTG) is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and detail-oriented Development Manager to join our Team. As a Development Manager, you will become a subject matter and technical expert for the Prowess™ Software Solutions Suite. You will perform and coordinate design aspects of application development, manage the development team to ensure successful completion of planned product and customer enhancements for TTG clients as they launch our technology or upgrade systems.
An ideal candidate must demonstrate strong critical thinking, effective communication, and meticulous organization and time management. Additionally, this candidate must exhibit accountability as well as being able to understand and communicate technical issues at a high-level.
Position
Thatcher Technology Group is seeking a Development Manager to join our team. As a TTG Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to get our product out the door to our clients. You’ll do this by ensuring the development team is able to work efficiently, with clear goals (both long and short-term) and that nothing prevents them from moving forward with their work.
At TTG, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your experience in computer science and technology and work as a senior resource on customer development projects where the enhancement or product is being developed alongside the customer as well as added to Thatcher’s robust product offerings.
Our ideal candidate feels confident making recommendations for software tools, hardware upgrades and improvements, policy revisions, and team building exercises.
As a Development Manager at TTG, you’ll be responsible for…
Project Scoping
· Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, when necessary, to determine application requirements, which can then be utilized to establish design specifications.
Communication
· Communicate clearly about project progress and about what resources are needed.
· Communicate development time lines to the Implementation Manager and Project Manager
Project Management
· Establish and maintain a delivery schedule of product enhancements
· Coordinate activities between the customer team and the TTG development team
· Establish requirements and deadlines along with coordinating delivery, training, and deployment
Client Management
· Manage client expectations throughout life of the project
· Act as an internal TTG client champion, by advocating for their concerns and needs as it pertains to the delivery of their project.
· Proactively address future projects and/or any concerns with clients via regularly scheduled meetings.
Management
· Ensure development project team members are adhering to agreed upon deadlines and following established processes.
· Prepare and deliver annual performance evaluations for development team members.
· Provide mentorship and coaching to development team members on an ongoing basis.
· Foster team spirit cross functionally when pursuing a common goal (e.g., a project deadline or deliverable).
Required Qualifications
· 3+ years of experience managing highly skilled .Net software engineers
· 7+ years hands-on professional experience in Microsoft Technologies specifically the .NET Framework with at least 5 years in C#
· Complete n-tier, Enterprise-level, SDLC Experience using .Net & SQL Server
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent planning and prioritization skills
· Bachelor's degree (B.S.) with a technical emphasis or equivalent experience
