Schneider Electric GIS currently has an outstanding opportunity for a hard working and motivated individual to assume the role of Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2023! This is an in person role at our Lake Forest,CA location. At Schneider, we believe access to energy is a basic human right. We provide energy and digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability.

What will you do?
  • Get familiar with the Triconex Safety system
  • Develop tools and innovative solutions that can extend the Triconex software portfolio
  • Design, prototype and analyze new software solutions and existing legacy applications

Qualifications:
What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergrad/graduate program.
  • Majors required: Computer science, computer engineering, mathematics
  • The candidate will need to demonstrate strong mathematical, reasoning and problem-solving skills to be involved in some research based on machine-learning and data modeling
  • It is expected that the intern knows and applies Python, C++, C#, MS Visual Studio.
  • Knowledge of Git and Matlab is a big plus
  • Must be located in Southern California, close to Lake Forest; no relocation for the role.
