Sr. Research Associate

AdvanBio has immediate open positions for Sr. Research Associate to support our Biomarker/IVD assay development in the R&D Team.

Summary

The Sr. Research Associate will support immunodiagnostic assay development under the product development process. S/he will work under the direction of the Research Scientist’s guidance to execute daily experiments and work with multifunctional teams, analyze data sets, write protocols/documents, and generate reports. The incumbent must have the technical insights to troubleshoot complex problems, work with multifunctional teams, analyze data sets, write protocols/SOPs, and generate technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Participates in projects for Biomarker/IVD assay development in various disease areas.
• Analyzes data keeps accurate notebooks, records of experiments, write technical reports and follow SOPs
• Assists with the establishment of protocols and procedures.
• Executes the evaluation and qualification of materials following established protocols and procedures.
• Executes with the team assay verification and validation.
• Assists with identifying the needs on and sourcing of materials, samples, and other critical materials, as well as supplies.
• Ensures quality in work, such as raw data records being accurate, complete, and inappropriate order, and meeting protocol and SOP specifications and GLP requirements.
• Other assignments by upper management.

Education/Experience

• BS/MS in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, chemistry, or other science/engineering field.
• 5+ years of related industry experience in ELSIA, IVD immunodiagnostics product development experience, and other applicable methods to the testing of Raw Materials and Reagents.
• Familiar with automated instruments
• Antibody, antigen, microparticle, reagents
• Assay verification and validation
• Protein purification and conjugation
• May supervise lower level personnel and laboratory operations.
• Trains others in areas of expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with biochemistry laboratory tasks, familiarity with immunoassays is a plus
• Must be willing to handle human whole-blood, plasma and/or serum samples
• Previous experience with antibody selection and conjugation, protein purification, characterization, and labeling is a plus
• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills along with strong written and oral communication skills required
• Working knowledge, expertise, and troubleshooting in analytical method development,
• Experience writing, reviewing, or executing standard operating procedures, protocols, and reports.
• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills are required Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications
