Sr. Staff Engineer

Across International - An ISO 9001:2015 equipment manufacturer & Supplier of laboratory material processing equipment.

The engineer will work with cross-functional team members in R&D, regulatory, quality and manufacturing on the design, development, and enhancement of new and currently marketed material processing equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Design and development activities related to new products, product line extensions, sustaining engineering, and manufacturing support
• Qualification and troubleshooting of designs
• Development of fixtures and test procedures
• Documentation associated with engineering activities - requirements, investigation summaries, feasibility reports, engineering change orders and reports

Skills Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD & Solidworks is a plus
• Facile with EE lab equipment and techniques for characterization of analog/digital circuits
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and affinity for teamwork, logic, innovation, initiative and self-sufficiency
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and skill
• Preferred bilingual - Chinese and English

Qualifications & Skills

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in science and engineering (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical

Engineering, Biomedical engineering etc…). A post-graduate degree is desired.

• 3 to 5 years of related work experience is required in R&D operations (a combination of work experience and advanced degrees).
• Some experiences in testing and compliance documentation.
• Proficiency in using instrumentation communication protocols, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, inspection equipment, and power supplies.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to utilize statistical tools and analysis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
