The Strategic Account Manager (SAM), (jan san/office/redistribution) will develop and manage existing large, national accounts covering several geographies while leveraging relationships to drive new opportunities as assigned. This role will be responsible for owning the strategic account headquarter relationship, developing the account strategy and working with field sales on execution and initiatives.

This individual will work collaboratively with the entire SSE team & our manufacturer agency partners to execute corporate strategy and initiatives as well as identify sales opportunities for growth. Finally, this role will establish account/business plans to drive our success while improving revenue and profitability.

The Position:

This role may work remotely within the following regions: Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago

  • This position will require travel up to 40% of the time.

Here are some of the main job duties in this role:

  • Build strong relationships with Strategic Account HQ to drive profitable sales growth through coordinated strategic initiatives
  • Develop annual account/business plans that include execution strategies with the SSE field sales teams and our manufacturer rep partners.
  • Support the annual plan with disciplined QBR process and the use of PBI, SFDC
  • Manage opportunity pipeline process to ensure tracking for growth across all customer locations.
  • Lead the annual Strategic Account forecast process
  • Manage customer contracts
  • Effective communications with both SSE Teams and multiple levels within Customer.
  • Lead others in the process of making and executing good data supported business decisions
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Anything else deemed necessary and proper by SSE Leadership to ensure a highly collaborative and effective Strategic Accounts Team

Here are some of the expectations we would require of you:

Qualifications/Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. For internal SSE Inc., candidates, in lieu of degree, must possess 5 years' sales experience within The Safety Zone and or Impact Products.
  • 5+ years SUCCESSFUL account management experience in a manufacturing/importing/distribution environment
  • Experience selling to large national distributors and accounts
  • Experience working directly with C-suite level customers
  • Successful sales track record delivering consistent sales and profit growth through Distribution
  • Demonstrated success in developing & executing account plans
  • Successful Sales track record in facilities supplies & re-distribution environment
  • Demonstrated track record of success managing distributors & brokers is a plus
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Suite of software, including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated competency with CRM Sales pipeline tools
  • High level written and verbal communications skills
  • Active Listening Skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of time
  • Excellent planning & organizational skills
