This position is responsible for the daily implementation of curriculum, communication with center personnel where appropriate, and the supervision of children.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Actively supervise children during all activities.

Teacher will be up and circulating the room.

Teacher will be engaged in a conversation or activity with the child(ren) in the classroom.

Complete all paperwork – e.g., attendance records, incident/accident reports, etc.

Maintain the appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of the site

Teacher will complete the following daily:

Sweep the floor

Empty the trash

Wipe down the tables and shelves

Stock equipment / classroom supplies

Develop and maintain a professional relationship with parents in which appropriate information is communicated in a timely manner.

Prepare and implement lessons, organization and schedule.

Teacher will post daily what is the anticipated activity for their classroom.

EX: Today in this classroom we will be playing computer games along with working on quiet table activities (puzzles, games, Legos).

Attends and participates in staff meetings, site events, etc. as requested.

Must complete the state required trainings and then renew those trainings when necessary:

o Child Abuse

o 6 hour Orientation Training

Must maintain confidentiality.

Complies with Tipp City Enrichment Program and state regulations regarding the care of children. Keeps Director informed of all necessary information regarding the care and safety of children.
