Job Description :

We are looking for a Technical Java Architect join our TDM Studio product development team! This is an amazing opportunity to work on exciting, forefront technology with a recently launched product. The team consists of 4 developers and is reporting to the Director, Software Engineering. We would love to speak with you if you have strong Java and Python experience and exposure to text and data mining (TDM).
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 6 years of overall professional, relevant experience
  • 4 or more years of experience with Java
  • At least 2 years of experience with Python
  • At least 2 years of experience with AWS-based cloud computing technologies and concepts
  • 5 or more years of experience manipulating XML data
  • 5 or more years of working in a Service-oriented architecture environment
  • Understanding of text and data mining and machine learning concepts
  • Capable of direct interaction with non-technical product teams and software developers alike
It would be great if you also had . . .
  • Understanding of advanced software architecture principles
  • Understanding of Jupyter notebooks and their role in text mining
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins
  • Ability to act as a mentor to junior developers
What will you be doing in this role?
  • Responsible for the design and integration of large-scale systems
  • Leading the entire TDM studio backend services and all AWS-related components that support those
  • Shall review requirements, write and review tech specifications/designs, document the same, then execute tasks related to those designs
  • Support of live systems
  • Provides technical leadership on one or more large scale initiatives. Proposes new technical solutions. Stays abreast of current technical trends.
  • Provides guidance for other team members and mentorship of junior developers
About the Team
This position will be a key role the development of the TDM Studio application which allows our customers to explore Clarivate content via text and data mining capabilities. It is a very exciting opportunity to join a smaller team of 4 developers. You will be a key player on the application with the chance to make a difference and share ideas. It is tied into very specific AWS offerings which allows you to work on exciting, cutting-edge technology on a product that is less than 3 years old.
