We have a client that is looking for a part time tech support tech that will turn into full time. Please carefully read the job description below before you apply! Work for a small firm in the Bay Area.

OVERVIEW:

• Provide technical support for various small companies in the San Francisco Bay Area via onsite visits, e-mail or over the phone. This role is client-facing and requires the highest level of customer service and professionalism. The position starts on a part-time basis (24 hours a week, Monday through Friday) and eventually full-time.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Actively answer support calls, service requests, resolve problems with computers, printers, on-premises and Cloud servers, software applications like MS Office suite and Outlook
• Setup a PC/Mac/NAS/Firewall/Switch/Server/out of box and deliver to clients, following detailed procedures.
• Moves/Adds/Changes such as creating AD user accounts, adding computers to domain, on/offboard users.
• Proficient in replacing or installing hardware components such as hard drives, memory, controllers, etc.
• You will be the primary onsite resource traveling to client sites to resolve issues as needed.
• Familiar with firewalls SonicWall, Fortinet, Sophos

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional customer service skills and phone/email etiquette
• Must have 2 years of professional experience and training.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software in a Windows environment (Windows 7/8/10, Server 2012 and up), a few Mac computers.
• Basic networking skills, including an understanding of TCP/IP network connectivity, servers, switches, WiFi, VoIP.
• Work with Active Directory and troubleshoot network issues, VPN issues, WiFi issues and printer issues.
• We ask that candidates please be able to safely lift, move and carry boxes, computers, monitors, etc. weighing up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance. And walk, climb, stand, stoop, bend at the waist, reach overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally lift and carry sufficiently to perform tasks.
• Must have reliable transportation. (GOING ONSITE TO THE CLIENTS - 8hr SHIFTS)
• Possession of a valid CA Driver’s License. Candidates must provide and maintain a good motor vehicle driving record.
• Work weekends or afterhours when necessary
• Covid-19 vaccination and booster. Willing to wear mask at client sites where necessary (Some clients have residents that are immune compromised)
• Technical certifications such as A+ or Microsoft related is preferred but not required.

PART TIME TO START: 24-28 hours a week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
