Position Summary

The technical support technician conducts interventions on hardware, software and IT assets at the office and the plant. Specifically, deploying computers and peripherals, and providing level 1 and 2 technical support to all end-users.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

· Foster a culture of safety awareness and safety prioritization.

· Answer and resolve technical request by email, phone or in person.

· Receive, configure, test, and install hardware and peripherals.

· Provide users with technical support with computers, printers, bar code readers and other equipment.

· Support any other devices such as iPhones, Androids, etc.

· Install and configure software on workstations as per established procedures.

· Provide software support.

· Participate to software research and tests to find solutions to the organization needs.

· Identify technical needs and analyze feasibility.

· Maintain good order in the server room and equipment storage.

· Document incidents and resolutions in tickets.

Job Requirements

Education

· High school or college diploma (or equivalent).

· Exceptional customer service orientation.

· Excellent oral and written communication.

· Ability to work in a rapid changing environment.

· Analysis and problem-solving capabilities.

· Knowledge of analog, numeric or VoIP telephony is a plus.

· Valid driver’s license.

· Presence onsite is required.

Experience & Certifications

· Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as an IT technician or in a similar position.

· Good knowledge of corporate networks (LAN / WAN / VLAN).

· Familiarity with TCP / IP and other network protocols.

· Windows 10 (Pro / IoT), Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 operating systems.

· Good knowledge of Active Directory concerning structure, user management, security groups.

· Good knowledge of the functioning of permissions and shares of network files / folders.

· Corporate messaging and collaboration software (Microsoft 365, Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams).

· Ability to diagnose network and thermal printers and to perform maintenance.

· Comfortable to use a request system (Ticket).

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

· Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
