Job Description:
TG Advisers, Inc. (an ENTRUST Solutions Group company) is a fast-growing engineering consulting firm. We are a network of turbine and generator experts with extensive OEM, utility, and business process experience. We’ve designed units operating globally, developed novel repair strategies, engineered major unit upgrades, and evaluated complex financial and technical projects. TG Advisers provides independent advice to electrical utilities and helps them succeed in today’s challenging environment. We currently have 1 internship opening for our Wilmington, DE office and 1 internship opening in our Greenville, SC office for engineering interns who have interests and skillsets in the following areas:
Analyze root cause of turbine generator failures using fracture mechanics, heat transfer, mechanical design, and vibrations.- Gather client technical information and unit history. Summarize key findings in a report format.
- Build and evaluate finite element models to determine the remaining life of turbine and generator components.
- Troubleshoot basic rotating machinery vibration issues.
- Perform thermodynamic assessments and heat rate analysis of plants.
