The ideal candidate will be experienced and excel in maintaining stamping dies for steel fabrication.

This is a fast-paced metal fabricating facility located in Leola, PA. We are looking for experience die mechanic with the desire to take the lead on stamping die tooling repairs, maintenance and drafting. The die mechanic is responsible for simple to complex tooling used on steel rack fabrications commonly seen in lumber yard at home improvement stores. Job Requirements:

• Three (3) years experience with maintaining stamping dies for steel fabrication. Experience with progressive punch dies is beneficial. Maintaining dies by welding, machining, hand air grinding and other shop processes. Experience with die maintenance and machine shop equipment (mill, lathes, surface grinder) is required
• Experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience from a trade school or on-the-job training required
• Possess the skill and ability to perform all basic mechanical and electrical duties required
• Knowledge in safety protocols like Lock-out/Tag-out, PPE, Power Tools, Confined Space, Hot Work Permits, Arc Flash, Fork Truck & Areal Lifts
• Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature, and pressure gauges
• Ability to learn and understand manufacturing processes and able to inspect and repair or replace components
• Proficient in reading and following basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics
• Experience operating test equipment and/or software
• Working knowledge of automated controls
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) license

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by having the ability to work in a constant state of alertness, following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner and ensuring safety precautions are observed
• Attendance - On time and at work on all scheduled workdays
• Cover all emergency break downs and repairs in a timely manner
• Report problems with equipment, leaks, and other deficiencies and take action as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program
• Assess operational state of equipment, filters, oil, hydraulics, compressors, motors, pumps, plumbing and electrical systems and determine course of action if needed
• Ability to complete routine assignments without direct supervision
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Maintain housekeeping standards
