Job Description

Looking to bring on energetic individuals to join our operations/dispatch team. We are looking for someone who is professional, has good communication skills (phone, in person and by email), has multi-tasking and problem solving skills. Computer skills are required as well; to email, enter/track loads, update our load boards, book loads and keep all our customers up to speed on what is going on daily.

Responsibilities

• Bid, book, and retain freight via direct customer base and broker boards.
• Coordinate with our customer service reps to get work orders
• Set load appointments with customers

• Respond to emails
• Enter loads into our dispatch system (sylectus/omnitracs)
• Update customer load boards
• Dispatch loads with drivers and follow up to make sure drivers are running on time.
• Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have
• Update customers on the status of their deliveries including any delays that occur
• Answer calls from delivery drivers and relay any emergencies they have to the appropriate channels

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong computer skills, data entry is part of the job.
• Knowledge with DAT, Sylectus, and various load boards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast paced environment.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with both drivers and customers in a busy working environment..
• We are looking for a dependable, punctual individual who is committed to showing up for work and someone who will contribute to our team atmosphere and wants to be with a growing company.
• Dispatch experience preferred driver experience would be helpful.
• Must have excellent "people skills", including the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of customers, and co-workers.
• Must be available for on call situations.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
