JOB TITLE: Trauma-Informed Communities Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Associate Director
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
WORK HOURS: 40 hrs./week; Monday-Friday; 8:00-4:30 p.m.; with some evening/weekend work required.

Position Purpose:
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director, the Trauma-Informed Communities Coordinator will play a key role in advancing a transformative collective impact initiative by engaging community partners to shape and scale policy change that ensures that Allegany County and regional partners are striving to become trauma-informed.
This position will provide strategic support to the following areas: oversee the growth and development of innovative and high-impact strategies at the local level; affect data-driven policy change; manage coalition-building activities; facilitate and convene collaborative partners and leaders in Allegany County to advance strategic priorities; and plan and/or represent the Coalition at public events. Strategic priorities include increasing the number of organizations and communities who are trauma-informed in Allegany County, strengthening the professional development of the workforce, and spreading lessons learned to regional partners from Genesee, Livingston, and Orleans Counties as they begin trauma-informed efforts.

I. Essential Functions of Position:
1. Serve as an effective spokesperson and is responsible for the enhancement of the Trauma-Informed Communities throughout Allegany County Coalition’s image by being active and visible in the community; and working collaboratively with partner organizations, public and private agencies, and community members.
2. Build and nurture an effective multi-organizational, multi-sector Coalition to address trauma-informed care systemic challenges and increase awareness of the importance of trauma-informed care communities in a 4-county region (Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, and Orleans Counties).
3. Facilitate the strategic plan to develop and implement impactful and sustainable short and long-term strategic goals and objectives. Manage the development and ongoing refinement of high-impact activities that advance the
Coalition’s strategic goals, including coordinating the Trauma-Informed Champions Initiative.
4. Establish and cultivate dynamic workgroups and full-coalition meetings (in-person and virtually) with partners to further the coalition vision and to affect data-driven policy change at the local level and advance the strategic objectives.
5. Create, track, and communicate goals, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate and manage progress toward metrics within a success plan. Ensure data integrity and assist with data analysis for reporting and grant writing functions in collaboration with the Associate Director.
6. Develop and execute timely external communications to coalition partners, workgroup members, and stakeholders to maintain campaign momentum; ensure actions occur between meetings.
7. Develop and conduct or coordinate trainings and presentations for professionals and community members at the local and regional levels including conferences, workshops, and virtual meetings.
8. Ensures program(s) and contract(s) adherence to federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations and/or funder specifications.
9. Provides effective, equitable, understandable, and respectful quality services that are responsive to diverse cultural health belief and practices, preferred language, health literacy and other communication needs.
10. Maintains confidential information and materials related to program, participants, provider services, and the corporation.
11. Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Current driver's license with a safe driving record; and proof of valid insurance
VI. Education
Bachelor’s degree in human services, sociology, social work, education, psychology, communications, human development, or related field; or an associate degree with a minimum of five years’ experience including experience in the field of child services and/or coalition building.
