Job description:

Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contracts

Unit openings: MedSurg, Telemetry, Surgery, OR, Labor and Deliver, ED, CVICU

Location(s): Grand Blac, Laurium, Warren, Novi, Allegan, Rochester, Saginaw, Southfield, and Detroit

Start date: Monday and Tuesday start date options in March and April

Shift: day and night shifts available, EOW, holidays as needed

Hours per week: 36 or 48 hrs

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks with the potential to extend

Qualifications: Open mentality, professionalism, quick thinker, at least 2 years of experience in the specialty

Duties: Identifies patient needs based on professional knowledge and medical plan of care. Establishes individualized outcome measures for each patient's care. Delegates interventions based on critical thinking skills and a knowledge of the competencies of each team member. Coordinates care to maximize desirable outcomes, patient satisfaction, and cost effective utilization of available personnel and resources. Through utilization of the nursing process, the clinical nurse diagnoses and treats patient and family responses to actual or potential health problems.

Requirements: RN license, BLS, and additional certifications may be needed per specialty and can be hospital specific

Unit: Will discuss information pertaining to staffing ratios, charting systems, equipment, etc. on the phone.
