*This role is housed at our New Florence Mill facility
Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 including bonuses-based on experience
Trucking Driver Job Description:
The Truck Driver position at Independent Stave Company is responsible for daily safe and timely delivery to our subsidiaries, customers, and other third parties. Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Preserve safety on and off the road at all times.
- Driving up to 11 hours per day.
- Maintaining the daily safety of company-owned equipment such as semi-truck and semi-trailers.
- Working with our maintenance department to perform preventative and regular maintenance on equipment
- Effectively communicate daily with dispatch and management.
- Ability and experience using heavy equipment for loading/Unloading processes.
- Experience strapping and tarping loads or using other means of load securement for maximum safety and load integrity.
- Physically set up the equipment needed for log hauling.
- Work and communicate closely with suppliers and customers.
Additional Information:
- Home daily 99% of the time
- An average of 60 total on-duty hours per week is projected or (a 12-hour day average)
- Newer model equipment
- Two-year DOT physicals paid(current DOT physical needed to be hired)
- Current and valid class A CLD license required.
- 2 years of verifiable driving experience are required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
