What does a successful UI Software Engineer do at Fiserv?

We are looking for motivated engineers to join our team on a multi-year journey in building the best-in-class experience for commercial card and expense management. 360Control Platform is currently serving some of the largest banks in the world as well as a multitude of credit unions. This is a full time UI development position reporting to a hands-on technical lead on a high demand growing commercial banking application. Developers work in small, focused agile teams with a high degree of autonomy and constant opportunities to participate in product, user experience, technical and architectural design. Developers are involved for the full software lifecycle from design, development and testing all the way through demonstration, training and production go-live.

What you will do:

• Develop User interfaces for Modern Rich Internet Applications with the latest Front End Technologies and support existing application
• Perform product analysis and development tasks of increasingly complex nature which may require extensive research and analysis
• Make design and technical decisions for Angular projects
• Develop application code and unit test in the Angular, Rest Web Services and Java technologies for the Application Development Center
• Ensuring high performance on mobile and desktop

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience with software development and holds good track record in terms of delivery excellence and application / product knowledge
• Strong experience with implementation of software design patterns in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Recent hands-on experience with Angular and/or React
• Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3and LESS and writing cross browser compatible code
• Working experience with responsive designs Bootstrap and/or Material UI
• Working knowledge of ADA WCAG Compliance
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, AJAX and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git and BitBucket.
• Should have some working knowledge of Java and Spring Framework.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Framework is a big plus
