Welder / Fabricator - Manufacturing Job Description:

The position of fabricator is a skilled labor position. This position requires the fabricator to use hand welding equipment to build metal components and apply appropriate welds and techniques. Fabricators must be able to develop/fit parts and components to blueprint specifications.

Welder / Fabricator - Manufacturing Responsibilities:

-Weld components in multiple positions. (MIG)

-Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, and grind parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.

-Read blueprints (critical) and use weld symbols provided on blueprints.

-Have a basic understanding of weld parameters for different materials and angles.

-Ensures a clean hand-off of good quality product to the next operation.

-General housekeeping of machine and workstation.

-You contribute to and promote a work environment that provides positive thinking, team spirit, quality work, safety, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing. Have fun and enjoy your job.

Welder / Fabricator - Manufacturing Qualifications:

-High school diploma or equivalent.

-Experience working in an ordinarily noisy, fast-paced, industrial manufacturing environment.

-Follow written and verbal instructions and details to complete job orders and projects— solid understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes.
