POSITION TITLE: Sleepnet/Envo Mask – Accounting Assistant

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Accounting Assistant is a position working in the Accounting Department supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, reconciliation of e-commerce sales, merchant accounts and sales tax with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

INTERACTION WITH:

Position is a part of the Accounting Department and interacts with most internal departments

(Finance, Product Development, Marketing, Customer Service/Entry, Sales, Compliance and

Logistics) as well as external organizations as necessary.

SUPPORT OF:

1. Daily E-Commerce Sales including Sales Tax & Merchant Accounts

2. Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Functions

3. Monthly Financial Reports

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
• Ability to apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Reconcile daily e-commerce sales including sales tax & merchant accounts
• Reconcile monthly sales tax returns
• Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries.
• Analyze, reconcile & resolve discrepancies.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Support duties related to collections, billings, audits and journal entries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At minimum, Associate’s degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field.

Bachelor’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.

• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant, hands-on retail accounting experience.
• Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise and/or other accounting software is preferable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills across both internal and external organizations.
• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to work in an entrepreneurial and fast paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently on assigned duties.
• Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines.
