Job Description :

FAME is seeking knowledgeable, driven and compassionate individuals to become part of the Education Team. The primary responsibilities of this position include: triaging customer inquiries to determine their higher education access needs; delivering information about financial aid processes, FAME’s higher education access programs, services, and financing opportunities. This individual is also responsible for assisting in the assessment, evaluation and processing of FAME’s higher education access programs and financing opportunities such as the Maine Loan.

This position is a full time permanent role with benefits.

The successful candidate will meet the following minimum education, experience and work requirements:

Minimum two-year college degree in liberal arts, social sciences, education, business or related field (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience).

Minimum of two (2) years related work experience in financial aid, higher education access, and/or private education loan lending or servicing preferred.

Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal relations. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong computer, time management and problem-solving skills are required.

Superior organizational skills Attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment are required.

Must possess a positive, achievement-oriented attitude to build strong relationships with all students, families, partners, vendors and staff.

Motivated, self-starter with proven team building skills.

Experience working with students of all ages and their families desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
