The Microchip Technology location in Beverly, MA designs and manufactures Cesium and Rubidium atomic clocks for precise time markets.Successful candidates will display an aptitude for problem-solving, a desire to learn, and demonstrate the ability to design and implement solutions independently and within a group.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain real-time embedded control software for leading-edge atomic clocks.
  Collaborate with Research, Test, and Production to define requirements and implement solutions.
  Troubleshoot, isolate problems, and determine root-cause in complex systems.
  Write clear and concise interface and procedural documentation.
• Qualifications/RequirementsQualifications/RequirementsMinimum QualificationsB.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  0 – 2 years professional experience developing embedded firmware.
  This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3) US Citizenship / Permanent US Residency required
  Passion for learning new skills and growing as an engineer.
  Strong proficiency in C, C++ and the principles of object-oriented design
  Experience with Windows, Linux, Git, GCC, Eclipse, Visual Studio, and similar applications
  Familiarity with profiling and optimizing code for size and performance.
  Strong communications skills; able to present effectively in group settings.
  Preferred QualificationsExperience with bare metal programming, RTOS, or embedded Linux
  Familiarity with MCU architecture and peripherals (e.g. UART, SPI, GPIO, DAC, ADC)
  Working knowledge of diagnostic equipment, e.g. MCU debuggers, oscilloscopes
  Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and datasheets.
  Experience with C# and/or Python scripting
