POSITION SUMMARY:

An Engineering Intern is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements that foster a Safe work environment and provide a quality product to the customer efficiently and economically.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with others and manage Engineering responsibilities associated with safety and process improvements.

• Management Non Capital improvement projects including new equipment installs, cell improvements, etc.

• Lead cross departmental teams to implement process improvements.

• Evaluate current processes, equipment, and procedures to determine if they are performing efficiently.

• Conduct root cause analyses and develop correct actions.

• Provide technical support for all departments when called upon.

• Develop a working knowledge of new technology through research.

• Participate in the 4 week Cross Departmental Training program.

• Complete additional assigned tasks in a timely manner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

• Knowledge of Lean Concepts.

• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power equipment, and machine shop equipment. Welding and general machining experience a plus.

• Strong leadership skills a plus.
