We are looking for an innovative, creative, self-motivated individual for an entry- level, junior Staff Geologist/Hydrologist position, with opportunity to advance into project leader and project management positions with appropriate professional and technical proficiency. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. Starting salary will be dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate would contribute to our team in field data collection, mapping, and data analysis, remote sensing and geospatial analysis, and report and figure preparation for our groundwater development, environmental, and geohydrology projects.
Tasks could include some or all of the following:
- Field investigation, research, and analysis for various hydrologic investigations
- Water (surface and ground) and soil sampling
- GIS data creation, management, analysis, and visualization
- Remote sensing, aerial imagery, and geospatial analysis
- Preparation of maps, figures, and images
- Data compilation, analysis, and presentation
- Assisting with report preparation
- Water rights permitting and transfer analyses
- Groundwater modeling
- Client Interaction
Time will be split between office and field work. The office-based portion of this position will be in our Santa Fe, NM office. Field work requires travel throughout NM and the southwest, often on multi-day projects, staying in accommodations on-site or nearby for the duration of the work.

Minimum Qualifications:
- M.S. (preferred) or B.S. in Hydrology, Geology or a related physical science.
+two (2) years of relevant experience, in addition to education, preferred
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Physical stamina to work outdoors and year-round in NM climate
- Working knowledge of Excel, ArcGIS, and Adobe Illustrator (or similar graphics program)
- Experience in groundwater modeling, Modflow/Groundwater Vistas, or related experience in large database manipulation is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license
