We offer branding services, web development, strategy and content creation to small to medium businesses in the Charleston area and beyond. Job Description

• Contract Graphic Designer needed to conceptualize, communicate and execute creative pieces from logos to websites and everything in between. Contractor will have an opportunity to bid all client jobs ahead of time. No hourly tracking or micromanaging. Individual is expected to operate as a professional contractor, providing reasonable job estimates in a timely manner and delivering on deadline. Flexible hours with a few required virtual meetings per month. Contract job with potential for full-time hire. Must have your own computer (with camera), software subscription and any other needed tools. Position will work closely with and report to the Founders and Director of Content and Strategy on a weekly basis.

Your Skills

• Minimum of 2 years real-world experience working in graphic design and web development
• Mastery of basic design elements and concepts (i.e. fonts, colors, spatial awareness, etc)
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with Wordpress and Divi Builder
• Basic knowledge and interest in Information Architecture and UX
• Google Workspace proficient
• Organized and clean presentation of work

Your Soft Skills

• Interpret client requests into creative and functional design options
• Ability to collaborate, receive direction/feedback openly and execute or edit as needed
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to communicate verbally and over chat and email in a concise and clear manner

Compensation

• All jobs will be bid by the contractor prior to starting projects. You set your own prices as a contractor. Please provide a desired ballpark hourly fee in your cover letter, but know that all jobs will be bid by you in full, not hourly.
• All contracted work will be paid 50% up front and 50% at project completion.
• Contractor will be issued a 1099 at the end of the year.

• A great fit will be with us for 1-3 years, offer the above and will bring ideas to the table that improve how we operate.
