We are seeking a professional like you to join our Performance Chemical Division at the Mcintosh, Alabama Site. At our Performance Chemical Division, we create the products that enable plastic applications in Building and Construction, Automotive, Packaging, Agriculture, Fiber and other industries. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and estimating work orders for instrument and electrical maintenance work.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

As an Instrumentation & Electrical Planner you create chemistry by…

• Checking all maintenance work orders received for completeness, accuracy and proper approvals. You will also define basic work required to satisfy maintenance work orders.
• Planning maintenance work orders by analyzing them in basic job steps and for each step; determine its sequence relative to other steps, and what parts, materials, special tools, and craft manpower are required.
• Estimating and preparing Task Lists (Model Work Orders) for jobs that are part of Preventive Maintenance program and prepare Task Lists for other repetitive jobs not included in the PM program.
• Participating in daily and weekly scheduling meetings for the particular area of assigned responsibility, as well as participating in the planning, estimating, scheduling and coordinating of the shutdown (turnaround) of a producing unit for the purposes of cleaning, inspecting, testing, repairing, restoring or altering any or all of its operating components and returning it to service in a satisfactory operating condition.
• Providing input and analysis of data input to the MMIS (such as SAP) as directed. You will also assist in the requirements for PSM/MI for instrument and electrical maintenance.
• Supporting and continually applying all Quality Improvement, Safety, Ecology, and Legal Compliance policies and procedures.

• Having earned a HS Diploma
• Related experience and technical knowledge required
• SAP experience strongly preferred and strong computer skills
• Strong planning and organization skills
• Excellent communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
