Job Description

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for keeping the Microsoft based IT infrastructure functioning at optimal levels. This includes supporting the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 by troubleshooting and resolving any ERP related problems together with the remote team at corporate headquarters. Other major duties include independently managing IT related projects, installing, and configuring software, hardware and networks, ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure, and recommending new features or changes to configurations based on end-user feedback.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure business systems and software applications are running smoothly against targeted performance standards on a daily basis.
• Manage and perform day-to-day projects for network services, troubleshooting issues, helpdesk and support to assist, fix, and manage the process for resolving end-user problems with applications or equipment.
• Provide business process knowledge within a manufacturing company with extended requirements in sales and logistics.
• Provide first-line help and support for IT infrastructure, IT and ERP systems, and Microsoft products.
• Assist with hardware maintenance and equipment repair for workstations, minor server repairs, network, printers, and phone system to maintain acceptable operating conditions.
• Provide expertise with the following business/office products: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Office 365 productivity tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.)
• Provide expertise with the following IT administration products: Microsoft Server OS, Microsoft Client OS, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook, remote access with VPN and wireless, TCP/IP, VMWare and web-based applications.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and make changes as required to ensure peak performance of all operating systems.
• Manage vendor relationship with EDI provider SPS Commerce.
• Image and deploy workstations, facilitate new user set-ups, and provide orientation and guidance on software and new equipment usage.
• Manage end-user service operations through Supplier Management and Global IT Collaboration to meet the Global IT Strategy and business objectives.
• Manage IOS device troubleshooting and centralized mobile device management.
• Assist with PC lifecycle management for all IT computing services within the Americas region.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge with the use of SQL language for the creation of queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with programming using Microsoft OLAP, Microsoft Power BI, C#.
• Background in the implementation of ERP, WMS or large-scale application project(s).
• Experience with managing service providers to their scope of work.
• Hands-on work with the development or maintenance of a Product Information Management (PIM) System.
• Project Manager or Project Team Member on a small, medium, or large IT initiative.

Education & Experience

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant field. Equivalent related experience and/or education may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• 5+ years Information Technology management.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
