Position Summary:

Medical Scribe will perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the office running smoothly. As a scribe you will accompany the physician into patient exam rooms in order to transcribe the patient's history, physical exam findings, consultations, labs, x-rays, etc. as stated by the provider. Medical Scribe may perform clinical duties in accordance to state law.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic, be a quick learner, enjoy multi-tasking and staying organized, be flexible, and understand the importance of a positive, courteous and a professional attitude in the workplace. Great attention to detail and clear communication with patients are essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Medical scribing and maintaining the electronic health record
• Use appropriate medical terminology in communication
• Assists physician with exams
• Prepare plans for follow-up care as directed by the physician
• Other clinical duties such as rooming patients, monitoring room and patient flow
• Admin support for physician including documenting phone calls, gathering appropriate documents and signatures, recording lab and x-ray results, etc.

Position Requirements:

• One year experience as a Medical Scribe/ Assistant preferred
• Familiarity with EHR systems
• Proficient interpersonal relations skills
• Proficient oral and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
