A Grand Rapids Senior Care company is seeking an IT Network Engineer who will work as a member of a team supporting a multi-company business. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and possess the ability to adapt to a variety of support situations. The position will be engaged in a complex IT infrastructure, including industry-specific software applications, and the use of technology-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Implement, manage and support all firewalls, routers, switches.
• Responsible for managing the virtual environment.
• Responsible for maintaining network LAN and WAN documentation.
• Monitor overall network and voice performance.
• Participate in strategic sourcing process for acquiring Infrastructure technology.
• Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Assists in the evaluation of hardware and software, including providers for network & voice, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.
• Participates in projects as required, including potential new/acquired facility planning
• Participates in the on-call rotation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (electronic or communications) or related field; In lieu of degree, a minimum of 4 years of experience in Networking and related infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies and routing protocols
• Strong knowledge of network security standards and implementation of network segmentation
• Strong knowledge of wireless technologies
• Strong knowledge of virtual environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Meraki networking equipment
• Experience with VMware vSphere
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud computing
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Strong project management skills

Paid Time Off (PTO) - Your Paid Time Off (PTO) starts accruing after your 90-day probationary period. Then you accrue 2 hours per pay period for the remainder of the year. After your first full year of employment, you will receive a load of 2 weeks plus you will be accruing 2 hours per pay period for just over 3 weeks of PTO. After 5 years of employment, Holland Home will add another week of PTO to your PTO load.

FSA - Pre-taxed dollars up to $2,750 per calendar year can be used to pay for eligible expenses. These expenses are IRS approved medical expenses.

Dependent Care (FSA) childcare or adult dependent care - Pre-taxed dollars for children under the age of 13 or caring for elders. Up to $5,000 per calendar year, or $2,500 per calendar year if married and filing separately.
