This position assures timely and accurate collection and labeling of patient specimens such as blood, sputum, urine, and stool in order to provide for the completion of clinical laboratory tests ordered by physicians.

This position requires excellent customer service/patient relations skills, a working knowledge of venous/arterial systems, an understanding of basic medical terminology, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and microbiology tests, and a working knowledge of safety guidelines for handling and disposing of needles.

A current Washington State certification as a Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist (MA-P) is required for this position.

A high school diploma or GED is required for this position.
