PHYSICAL MEDICINE MEDICAL ASSISTANT

You MUST be a certified Medical Assistant or LVN, as this job requires the ability to do venipuncture. We are also looking for someone who is fluent in Spanish. Schedule: Monday – Friday (no nights or weekends)

Hours: Approx. 35 hrs/wk (must be able to work as early as 8am and as late as 6:30pm)

Location: Palm Desert (this is not a remote position)

Wage: $17 - $20 / hr. to start

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Medical Assistant duties: venipuncture, diagnostic test assisting
• Handling the therapy area (putting patient on/ taking patient off therapies, explaining therapies to patient, notating patient chart, directing patients to various rooms/providers)
• Cleaning/Disinfecting protocols (includes other areas besides the therapy room)
• Assisting healthcare providers as needed
• Durable medical equipment (includes disbursing, form fill, fitting, and ordering)
• Light administrative duties as needed: cross-training will be provided

Ideal Job Candidate: (Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements)

• Must be a certified Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or LVN - this job requires the ability to do venipuncture and to assist with diagnostic tests (such as ncv/emg)
• Must be bilingual (Spanish)
• Must be available ALL the days/hours stated above
• Must be dependable, punctual, and have reliable transportation
• Able to stay on your feet and move quickly for extended periods of time
• Do well with face-to-face interaction: confident & well-spoken
• Able to consistently multi-task both in an individual and team setting

Experience:

• Previous experience in face-to-face customer service and/or in fast-paced work environment strongly preferred
• No previous healthcare experience required (outside of required certification) – training provided

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
