Job Description :

Immediate vacancy for a PA with interest in Orthopedics to join an established Orthopedic Surgeon and his team of professionals in a office/surgical assist role. Position will assist surgeon in hand, elbow & shoulder surgery, general orthopedic trauma, and upper extremity arthroscopy.

Scope of Practice:

  • Work alongside the Hand Surgeon in office clinic and serve as surgical first assist on select cases. Will see patients in office when not required in the OR to assist.
  • Office Clinic is Mon, Wed, Fri with OR on Tues/Thurs (assist as needed).
  • Will take call with the surgeon, approximately 6 – 7 weekends year, and assist in hospital rounds as needed.
  • Call pay stipend
  • Bonus plan after a year of employment

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Board certified with active GA PA license (or license eligible) in good standing
  • Experience is preferred; will train new graduates with a strong interest in Orthopedics, specifically hand and upper extremities
  • Professional references reflecting a high level of professionalism and proven clinical excellence in the delivery of care.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with our patient community is critical to the success of our practice.
  • Must work within the scope of practice guidelines and appropriately direct patients for follow-up care as their healthcare needs dictate.
