Child Care center looking for a bus / van driver to transport school age children from the center to and from neighboring elementary schools. No special license is necessary for our transportation vehicles. Hours are 7am-9am and 2:30pm-4:15pm Monday through Friday (with an option for additional hours) until school releases the end of May and then the hours will changed from 12:30 until 3:30 for the summer field trips. Retired or disabled individuals are encouraged to apply as long as job duties can be meant.

Job Duties:

• Start of shift at 7am, assisting in help with getting children breakfast.
• Bus vans leave at 7:45am. You would be escorting, loading and transporting children to neighboring elementary schools. There is a week training period to train you on routes, longer if necessary.
• Returning to the child care center, manager checks your bus before it is parked. Additional duties can be assigned depending on how many hours you are wanting.
• The afternoon shift entails the same route, picking children up from school and transporting them back to the center. There is optional additional hours after your route assisting the school age teacher with serving snack and supervising the school-age children until the room is at ratio.

Applicants must:

• Must adhere to the DHHS guidelines for training. You will required to be CPR/First aid Certified as well as take the Safe Kids Buckle Up training provided by the center.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Must pass a Nebraska Child and Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry check. Must pass a background check and undergo the Nebraska State Patrol fingerprinting process.
• Must be audibly aware of what is going on in the van and surroundings at all times and be physically able to safely, and quickly, evacuate the bus in an emergency situation.
