GENERAL DESCRIPTION – PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing a cross functional team in the development of customer products. Duties include but are not limited to interfacing with customers to determine part requirements, developing internal prints, specifications, gages and help in developing the manufacturing process.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct regular meetings with customers to ensure product clarification and timeline
• Document and report projects to management
• Lead cross functional team to succeed in meeting all customer requirements in a timely manner
• Must be able to develop prints, PFMEA, Control Plans, timelines, and gages

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in managing multiple programs simultaneously
• Must have excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project. Experience with Solid Works and AutoCad a plus.
• Excellent communications, organizational, time management, leadership and decision-making skills required
• Experience in forging process, a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Project scheduling skills in Microsoft Project or Excel
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Ability to read and understand GD & T, prints and customer specifications
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts
• Knowledge of APQP
• Machine repair knowledge and ordering, a plus

Education Requirements:

• B.S. in an Engineering discipline or a 2-year technical degree with min. 10 years of experience in engineering/manufacturing field.

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
