Essential Duties

  • Responsible for quality projects being built on time and within budget. Ensure scope changes are processed and incorporated into the current scope of work in a timely manner. Provides material takeoffs, estimates and pricing for changes to work scope.
  • Establishes and executes subcontracts and equipment buy-outs to support schedules and budgets. Participates in selling and negotiating contracts.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Proactively transition projects from Engineering into Construction.
  • Manage the financial health and performance of projects.
  • Conducts and attends job meetings according to customer and company guidelines and schedules. Conducts pre-job and continuing planning meetings to ensure all project team members understand contract terms and conditions, clauses, schedules or any unusual requirements of the project.
  • Maintain fluid, timely and consistent communication with customers, field personnel and office staff. Follow up is critical.
  • Develops and keeps current all project schedules. Ensures all schedules mesh with the master project schedule and resolves conflicts when they occur.
  • Manages conflict resolution with customers, vendors, trades or teammates. Leads and manages other project managers. Provides leadership, shares technical expertise and experience to other trade partners.
  • Identifies and develops policies and procedures for continuous aggressive improvement and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of industry background/experience.
  • Able to quickly adapt to change.
  • Highly organized.
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs, on-schedule and within budget.
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate, and enhance performance within a cross functional environment.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities.
  • Proficient in the use of computers. Programs include: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PDF writer such as Bluebeam and will become proficient in various Construction Management softwares.
  • Cooperate in all aspects of the company’s safety program.
  • Field experience is plus but is not required.
  • Must be open minded, able to exchange ideas and tolerate opposing opinions.
  • A sense of humor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
