JOB DESCRIPTION

Kettelhut Construction, Inc is an established successful commercial building firm located in Lafayette, Indiana.
Due to our continued and calculated growth, we have an outstanding opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team of construction professionals. The Project Manager will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of projects within the Kettelhut portfolio.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: PM Typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

 Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
 Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
 Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
 Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
 Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
 Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
 Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
 Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
 Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

 BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
 2-3+ years of Project Management experience
 Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

 Strong technical and communication skills are critical
 Ability to work in a team environment
 Knowledge of Microsoft Office

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently or occasionally required to:

 Sit, stand or walk
 Climb or balance
 Stoop, crouch and step over obstacles
 Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
 Work in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
 Work in environment with dust, loud noise and/or vibrations
