Manpower Engineering is seeking an Automation/Controls Engineer for our client in the Elizabethtown, KY area. Direct/perm salaried position. Hands-on, fully onsite role.

What you'll be doing:

• Design and develop machine control systems to support existing manufacturing line product improvements, capacity expansions, and equipment rebuild projects
• Primary responsibilities will be maintaining control systems using AutoCAD Electrical 2012, PLC and HMI programming, but must be willing and able to assist in all project activities to meet demands of manufacturing plant.
• Support Fanuc robots
• Use AutoCAD to create layouts of equipment placement

Who we are seeking:

• Must have completed Bachelor's Degree in engineering
• Prefer local candidates or someone with ties to the area
• Must have good attitude, be flexible, and willing to get hands dirty
• Helpful to have understanding of Fanuc and Siemens PLC's and how they interface with the NC
• AutoCAD knowledge
• High-level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
• Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly
• A hands-on approach is essential, with ownership of products and processes
• Must be a team player with good communication skills, written and verbal
• Self-motivated striving to find lean solutions to improvements and issues
