Here’s what you’ll be doing focusing on dealerships Fleet Operations:

  • Collaborate with dealership General Managers to forecast goals and objectives for their fleet departments. Support in preparing and administering a growth minded strategy.
  • Attend Weekly Sales Action Meetings (SAMs), Management Meetings (DMAs) and monthly Dealership Monthly Reviews (DMRs).
  • Support dealerships in recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and monitoring the performance of all Fleet vehicle sales employees.
  • Develop and organize a training schedule, as directed by the RVP/GMs, to ensure that each fleet sales team member completes role specific training – Garff University.
  • Guide all fleet sales teams in setting their department and individual objectives on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Assist fleet sales team with client visits, proposals, and follow-up to grow sales.
  • Support fleet department focus on activities with reporting; Unit Proposals/Write-ups, Conversion, Units on order, Inbound Units, Units in Production, Units awaiting delivery.
  • Supplies RVP/General Managers with monthly forecasts of fleet car and truck deliveries.
  • Ensures quality deliveries of all fleet sales with focus on CSI.
  • Follow up on dealership payment for delivered fleet, lease company, and commercial account vehicles routinely through collaboration with General Manager and Controller.
  • Attend OEM Fleet meetings and provide recaps to RVP/General Managers.
  • Maintains executive level contact with federal, state, and/or local government agencies and utilities to secure fleet business, actively utilizing the bidding process.
  • Provides out-of-stock service for fleet accounts and local leasing companies in conjunction with New Vehicle Sales Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Sales/Fleet Manager
  • Minimum of 2 years leading a high performing sales team
  • Experience in F&I is highly desired but not a requirement
  • Must be able to provide references upon request
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Must be 18 years or older and be authorized to work in the U.S
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A valid in-state driver's license and a good driving record, per company standards

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Inventory Control Software, internet, Microsoft Office Products

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
travel to different sites. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, twisting upper body, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job the employee will move throughout the dealership. Will be exposed to outside weather conditions. May drive to different locations. The noise level in the environment may be loud.
