Boulo Solutions is recruiting for a highly qualified Research Statistician to join the Research and Development Team of our client, a global technology leader in developing management solutions for companies in the hospitality and travel industries.

This position will contribute to the research and development of innovative, market-centric products, analyze customer data, and build reliable and scalable cloud-based SaaS systems for solving high-value business problems relevant to revenue and profit optimization. The Research Statistician will transfer client business requirements into a tangible product solution that addresses the specific customer requirements to ensure the highest quality products that positively affect sales and client retention.

Employment type: Full-time

Flexibility: Hybrid in Cary, NC; company will pay for relocation expenses

Pay: $115000 - $170000 per year

Responsibilities of the Research Statistician position

• Carry out statistical data analysis and research activities
• Practice state of art statistics and machine learning techniques and translate them into reliable and scalable analytic modules
• Design and develop analytic software addressing real-world business problems having direct impact on customer revenue
• Maintain and troubleshoot current analytic solution software
• Build cloud-based SaaS solutions
• Collaborate with other members of the development, testing, and product management teams with an understanding of the business requirements
• Keep abreast of analytical developments and trend
• Create and deploy new intellectual property to innovatively fulfill the needs of customers.
• Develop high-quality analytical algorithms (i.e. using machine learning, predictive analytics) with responsibility for research, programming, testing, and documenting.

Requirements for the Research Statistician position

• Masters or higher degree in Econometrics, Economics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• Strong knowledge of statistics, machine learning concepts, and general technical forecasting
• Strong statistic modeling experience
• Proficiency in programming in one or more programming languages (C/C++, Python, JAVA)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and multitask
