Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for all ExM Logistics operations and onboarding of ExM warehouses across North America

  • Lead Supply Chain Operations activities within External Manufacturing organization.

  • Responsible for the Supply Chain Operations activities to ensure a high level of service and smooth supply of product as well as the management, support and reporting for External Manufacturing projects impacting the Supply Chain Operations area.

  • Responsible for all Operational activities at ExM Third Party Logistics Providers

  • Support & Implement ExM Warehousing Strategies & Solutions

  • ExM key point of contact for Global Logistics

  • Support the compliant supply of products to our customers

  • Ensure all import and export activities are executed correctly

  • Ensure data accuracy for all Supply Chain Operations owned data

  • Support and execute all supply models, product launches and financial flow changes that support the business

  • Ensure compliance with Supply Chain, Quality and Financial procedures

  • Manage ExM Logistics and Operations team in North America to ensure a high level of Customer Service and smooth supply

  • Manage month and year end Supply Chain Operations activities, ensuring finance deadlines are met and financial reporting is accurate

  • Work with Finance to ensure that correct fiscal details are used for new supply models

  • Demonstrates that logistics are managed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner to meet customer needs

  • Support audits and compliance reviews

  • Has oversight responsibility to ensure ExM operations data is maintained accurately and in a timely manner

  • Promote a high-performance team culture within ExM Supply Chain Operations

  • Hold regular meetings with key stakeholders to optimize communication channels and information flow

  • Support the implementation of EHS policies in the Supply Chain Operation and Inventory teams

  • Set objectives and guidelines for all personnel, provide feedback on performance through the performance connections process

Required Competencies:

  • In addition to the core competencies of Leadership; Innovation, Communication skills, Teamwork, Problem Solving and a Commitment to Quality and Compliance, the job holder will require excellent negotiations skills

  • Knowledge of supply chain concepts and practices in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Food or FMCG industries

  • Knowledge of technology, ERP, materials planning and financial controls

  • Knowledge of international customs & trade, taxation, transfer pricing and cGMP regulatory requirements

  • Excellent Analytical and PC application knowledge

  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills required.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and organizations

  • Capable to interact with key decision makers in manufacturing technology, quality, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, finance, legal, EHS

Required Qualification(s) and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sciences, Engineering, Supply chain or finance. Master’s degree and APICS certification desirable

  • 6+ years’ experience in Supply Chain

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic supply chain and supply relationship management

  • Strong background in Logistics, Warehouse & operations management in complex, multi-site organizations

  • Experience in working within a global and culturally diverse matrix organization

  • Demonstrated ability in performing in a dynamic, fast paced, changing and demanding environment

  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to organise and present information to cross-functional audiences and senior leaders

  • Demonstrated ability to frame and build concepts and ideas and develop and execute strategic plans as required

  • Good understanding of business specific organization, functions and business support systems (manufacturing, packaging, artwork, regulatory, marketing, quality control/quality assurance and supply chain)

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical product lifecycle and obsolescence

  • ERP Systems (e.g. SAP and Oracle) and SAP Business Warehouse system knowledge

  • Knowledge of cost and/or inventory management principles
