We are a well-funded, commercial stage company based in San Jose and seeking to hire a Sr. Accountant / Financial Analyst to help to scale the company’s finance functions and support the company’s growth. In this role, you will handle various day to day financial and accounting duties and will assist in implementing controls, processes and systems to help the company to meet operational, reporting and audit requirements.

Responsibilities:

Provide effective and timely financial information, thoughtful business insights/analytics

Consolidate and perform analytical review of our foreign subsidiary financial statements on a monthly basis.

Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations

Help with implementations, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

Assist with all accounting operations including billing, inventory valuation, collections, accounts payable

Assist preparation of federal, state and local tax filings, as well as sales tax / VAT filings

Assist our international accounting / payroll / compliance functions by working with our third party international accounting firms

Assist with the audit process including both the readiness and preparation of supporting audit schedules

Ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

At least 8 years of relevant experience, audit, tax and international exposure desired

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance, CPA/CMA is a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, IFRS experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of ERP System
• Strong attention to detail and advanced MS Excel skills are a must
• Ability to speak and write in Chinese is preferred
