A growing Real Estate company is in need of a Senior Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis in the Belmont, California area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers a great long-term growth potential, including a strong compensation and benefits package for the candidate. We are looking for someone who has excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support the continued success of the firm. This Senior Accountant role is located in Belmont, California within the Real Estate & Property field.

How you will make an impact

• Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
• Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
• Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
• Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
• Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
• Partake in various department-wide initiatives
• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
• Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
• Great attention to detail
• 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
• Efficient in ERP systems
• Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
• Experience with month end closings
• Strong familiarity with Monthly Account Reconciliation
• Solid understanding of general ledger
• Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
• Expertise in account reconciliation
• Monthly Accruals experience
• BA/BS in Accounting
• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
