They are responsible for ensuring their staff give great customer service as well as monitoring the financial performance of the store. Typical responsibilities of the job include: recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff. ...dealing with customer queries and complaints.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Coach and support other team members
• Maintain and monitor store inventory
• Ensure that the store is clean, safe and presentable for customers
• Greet and assist customers as necessary when other sales associates are busy
• Conduct regular audits of the store’s physical and practical condition to ensure quality
• Maintain product levels appropriately
• Interact with the public via social media and maintain the store’s online presence
• Process sales when necessary
• Generate and review daily sales report
• Recruit and hire staff for the store to meet the needs of customers.
• Complete schedules and assign duties and responsibilities to the store’s staff.
• Train new employees and provide continuing education and training to current employees.
• Track and implement financial quotas for the store and staff based on the stated financial goals of the business.
• Manage store inventory.
• Evaluate staff quarterly and replace staff as needed based on performance based metrics.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least two years of experience in the building materials industry
• At least one year of direct management experience including managing people
• Experience with NAV a plus
