Certor Sports is seeking a Sustaining / QC (SQC) Engineer to be responsible for all engineering and technical support of engineering projects related to product maintenance and quality control.

The successful candidate will be able to see the result of their work on football fields through-out the country and every Saturday and Sunday during football season.

Bring at least 3 years of engineering quality experience, a passion testing, data analysis and interpretation, plus the ability to work with product development, manufacturing, suppliers, QA, customer service, and sales. Using these skills and a hands-on approach, you will focus heavily on design changes prompted by on-field performance feedback, quality control, or manufacturing challenges.

Certor Sports has some of the most iconic performance and sports brands in the country, including Schutt and VICIS, whose helmets are currently ranked first by both the NFL and Virginia Tech University’s Helmet Lab. Our innovative and cutting edge head-to-toe protective equipment is used for football, baseball, and softball as we protect everyone from the Pee-wees to the Pros.

Responsibilities and Objectives:

• Design and modification of product components
• Strength and material evaluation
• Technical support and creation of QC test methods both internal and external vendors
• Test data analysis and interpretation
• Cross-functional collaboration with product development, manufacturing, suppliers, quality assurance, customer service, and sales

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering or Equivalent
• Minimum 3 years engineering work experience
• Experienced in CAD modeling, preferably Solidworks platform
• Experience working on hardgoods product development
• Experience with FEA analysis
• Experience working with overseas suppliers
• Experience with injection molding
