SunPlus Data Group is looking for a Technical Writer (Part-Time) to work for a State Government facility in Charlottesville, VA.

This is for 12 months to start and is likely to extend

Hours are generally M-F, 40 hrs/week

Pay is $33/hr W2 hourly or $37/hr 1099 (CTC) - PART TIME

**(THIS POSITION IS PART-TIME WORKING MAINLY REMOTE SOME ONSITE WORK MAYBE REQUIRED, MANDATORY WITH NO EXCEPTIONS) **

It usually takes the State Government about 1-3 weeks to start interviews, just so that you know the timeframe. The first interview will usually be via phone or WebEx.

Job Summary:

The State of VA seeks a Technical Writer (Part-Time) with documented experience. The Technical Writer (Part-Time) will consult with staff to prepare technical and end-user documentation for the information technology program.

• Knowledge and ability to test the product and its documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Experience working within IT Development, SaaS, or web-based technology environment.
• Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) both in-person and remote
• Experience creating infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, workflows, graphs, etc.
• Experience in presenting technical information in a live setting, such as classroom training, presentations, or video conference.
• Experience developing IT industry documentation, including infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, workflows, graphs, etc.
• Create and manage a catalog of manuals, guides, templates, standards, and policies.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $33.00 - $37.00 per hour
