JOB SUMMARY

The verification engineer will design, perform and evaluate repeatable and standardized integration and system verifications of all Belimo products. The verification engineer will be part of a team which includes infrastructure and product quality engineers. The position will interface closely with the other domestic and international verification and development teams as well as groups within the company.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The verification engineer is part of the Innovation Hub Americas (IH-AM) Verification team and reports to the IH-AM Verification Team Leader and bears full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Define test case specifications
Execute verifications
Collect verifications results
Provide Verification Report of test results
Identify infrastructure gaps
Verify the fulfillment of specified requirements
Build confidence in the quality level of the system under test
Deep involvement with high complexity products to identify failure modes and root causes through hands-on debugging
Provide detailed results, observations & recommendations to stakeholders to allow them to make informed decisions
Proactively look for ways to reduce the level of risk, optimize processes, procedures, tools and methods
Look for new approaches to automate and improve the efficiency of testing and test equipment
Effective communication with colleagues
Perform Series testing
Global go-to-expert for verification of valves and water systems
REQUIREMENTS
4-year engineering or technology degree
Knowledge of automation & controls implementation (National Instruments and LabVIEW)
Hands-on experimental testing and analysis
Advanced MS office skills
Experience using JIRA, Confluence and Zypher
Systems Engineering experience
Experience working in a project-oriented team
Ability to prioritize tasks and support multiple projects
Self-starter and highly motivated
Travel locally and/or internationally may be required
Knowledge of HVAC applications and actuators
Knowledge of safety standards and conformance (OSHA, ASME, EPA etc.)
Experience with integration and verification
Strong technical writing skills
5S methodology experience
Understanding in statistical, DOE and reliability engineering
