Amotec is currently recruiting for Warehouse Associates in the Sparks, Nevada area. This role is with our client, a leader in the Manufacturing and Packaging industry. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for processing all materials through the Service Center standard operating procedures. This position ensures all materials leaving the facility are in an acceptable condition and meet the customer specifications. This position also has general material handling duties using a forklift.

Job Description:

• Inspect product and prepare for shipment
• Loading and unloading incoming/outgoing trailers using forklift
• Stage incoming product for processing using forklift
• Perform product processing per documented work instructions
• Maintain warehouse accuracy and report any issues that could affect proper inventory counts
• Ensure all efforts meet the quality requirements of the customer; Report any issues immediately
• Ability to perform overtime and weekend work
• Complete daily equipment checks and inform Service Center Manager when outside maintenance is required

Additional Skills and Requirements:

• 1-3 years of related working experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience operating a forklift
• Approved forklift operator's license
• Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance
• Able to effectively communicate in English one-on-one and in small group situations
• Ability to effectively work in teams
• Ability to perform overtime and weekend work
