This position will provide software development support to a group of University of Kentucky faculty who have an interest in mobile health applications for their research. As a part of this interest group, the position will develop custom mobile applications to be run on iOS and/or Android devices, manage databases containing potentially sensitive data, develop web interfaces for applications, and participate in monthly alliance meetings to communicate concepts related to software development to an audience of interested participants unfamiliar with programming nuances.

A complete application must include a UK application, either a resume or a cv, a cover letter, and a one-page statement describing previously developed mobile applications to be uploaded as “Specific Request 1” in the documents section.

This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by theWorld Health Organizationcan be accepted.
